Dedicated to building custom modular homes in the East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia area, CustomSmart was established by Lizzio Development Group, LLC, a family-owned and operated company. The Lizzio family, is driven by a desire to create energy-efficient homes of exceptional beauty, quality, and value, while ensuring that the building process is simple, fast, and enjoyable for clients. In 2011 they added CustomSmart Solar, a division of the company that compliments their drive for energy efficient properties. As a family-run business, CustomSmart has devoted its time, resources, and passion to serving others in the building industry. With over 90 years of combined business, management, and construction experience, CustomSmart is a profitable, debt-free company—an essential factor when selecting a builder.

CustomSmart is an authorized builder for Nationwide Custom Homes, a system-built modular home manufacturing company located in Martinsville, Virginia. Our management team began building Nationwide modular homes in 2006, and since then, CustomSmart has become a member of Nationwide’s President’s Council, recognized as one of the company’s top builders. With over 60 years of experience in manufacturing homes, Nationwide has earned a reputation for producing some of the finest homes in the business.
